Occasion:

Gamma Beta Boule is in the process of arranging an exciting, adventurous and fraternal weekend of activities. The setting for the event is the One Ocean Resort Hotel and Spa located directly on the ocean in Atlantic Beach, Florida. Literally “steps” away from the hotel are unique shops, restaurants, and bookstores. Archousai can experience light shopping across from the Resort, or, with just a 10 minute drive, engage in power shopping at Jacksonville’s St John’s Town Center 11 anchor stores, 150 shops, and more than a dozen upscale restaurants. Arrangements are being made for golf and fishing. And, we are working on several other special events for our Archousai.

The Facility:

Gamma Beta has, by contract, been guaranteed a block of 90 rooms for Friday and Saturday at $155.00 per night. Ocean front rooms with balcony are available for an additional $60 per night. (Note: These will sell out quickly so only timely reservations will guarantee the room you want.) There is a $25 RESORT FEE DISCOUNTED TO $15 FOR THIS GROUP, which provides your guests with the following intuitive services: Internet Access, Docent Service Coffee and Tea (they are posted near each room and will bring ice, tea, coffee as requested), Garmet Steaming, Refreshment Center (no charge for snacks that are in the room), Shoe Polish, Bath Amenities, Exercise Facilities, Pool Docent Service, and Poolside Heated Towels. The Resort is Valet Parking only, and that fee is discounted for us to $15 PER DAY

Reservations will be made by individuals calling the hotel directly at 904-249-7402 or toll free at 1-800-874-6000.  They must call the Hotel prior to November 09, 2010, and identify themselves with the group, Sigma Pi Phi Reunion at the time the reservation is made in order to receive the special group rate.

Tentative Activity Schedule:

Thursday: Rooms have been reserved for Sigma Pi Phi for those families that wish to come a day early at the reduced rate of $155/night. (NOTE: If you’d like to extend your vacation, the block rate will be available 3 day prior to and following our scheduled events.)

Friday: Enjoy your selection of available activities from a vast menu that will be provided.

6:30pm –12 Midnight: Hospitality Suite

8pm-9pm: Possible Jazz Lounge near Resort or “Bonfire on the Beach” with food/music under a large Oceanside tent.

Saturday: Options: Shopping nearby or at the Mall, Golfing, Tennis, Fishing, Sightseeing and a possible “Scavenger Hunt” that will lead you to specific sites/shops near the resort. Prizes will be provided for winners.
